It’s Friday and this mama is wearing down and messy bun is going up! That doesn’t mean you can’t make a messy bun look cute and fashionable.

It’s a coolISH morning in Texas and we get excited, break out the boots, make soup, and reach for our leggings. This lightweight top from Chicks Picks Boutique was perfect for today. It gives a layer look without the weight and it doesn’t hurt that it’s burgundy and can be paired with jeans for game day.
I usually wear my diamond studs when my hair is up but maybe it’s my recent exploration into my Latina roots and learning Espanol with my girls that gave me the guts to go big today and I think it worked! 🙂
I have a dainty necklace that I wear often and pair it with a bigger pair of earrings and so I kept that on with my Apple watch and classic David Yurman ring to transition easier into my workout clothes.
Here’s a kimono top I bought earlier this year to layer and I Love it! I wore it last week when it was cooler but not as cool as today’s weather.
The weather is gorgeous this time of year so look cute part of the day then hit the outdoors and get moving and sweaty!
I also like the longer length of the top to cover my bum so I opted for my White House Black Market super fitting leggings and my Tom’s Suede booties.
Not too shabby for a Friday as a homeschool mom doing carpool for my oldest to her school, then Bible Study and music for my younger two, errands, buying pins and moth balls for an insect project (ewww), and then working out, cleaning house, visiting with friends, and back for afternoon pick up.
You CAN look fashionable, be comfy, and find affordable pieces like this top for $28.
Visit Chicks Picks Boutique to see their new arrivals including lightweight sweaters perfect for Fall and then for layering for colder weather.
Have a great day and weekend.
