Wanna save your juice? Seal it!
Juicing is a great way to work in more greens and fruit into your daily diet. What’s not so great is the amount of time spent on juicing, especially during week days mornings when time is a precious. Some of our juice recipes contain 11 different ingredients and that takes up to a pretty good chunk of my morning routine time!
I heard about a sealer that removes the oxygen from the container and allows the juice to be kept in the fridge for several days without losing as many nutrients, which begin to lessen once the fruit/veggie is juiced or blended.
You can also freeze them to last longer and simply remove them and drink when you’re ready.
I bought the Food Saver Sealer, glass Ball jars, and the lid attachment and got to work.
This is a great way to prep your juices/smoothies on the weekend and have them ready to go for your week. You can place glasses you will drink in the next few days in the fridge and the rest in the freezer and remove them first thing in the morning.
I ordered glass straws that are larger since we prefer ours on the chunky side so we can chew and begin the digestive process. We also use the stainless steel straws. These are smaller but work well with thinner juices or as alternatives to plastic straws for school lunches.
